Fitness First is the world’s largest health and fitness group, and grew from 6 clubs in one country to over 300 in 14 countries in the space of four years. Their membership systems, which acted as billing and CRM systems were not capable of supporting this transition in an automated way. Thus a series of manual processes were created to work around the poor systems, but these were not only expensive, but often inaccurate, relying heavily on the correct input of information.
Approach
iris Concise Europe developed a business case to implement a global, automated membership system. This business case was predicated upon cutting cost from the joining process.
Outcome
As a result of iris Concise’s recommendations, Fitness First implemented “Members First” – the new global membership system. The joining process is now completely automated and can be carried out online, and in the UK, Fitness First were able to remove the manual elements and therefore the mistakes from the process..
